Beach Bum?
Run the Long Beach Marathon or Half Marathon 3 years in a row and become a member of the Beach Bum Loyalty Program!
Participants are eligible to earn Beach Bum status in 2024 in the following scenarios:
- If you completed the 2022 Long Beach Marathon or Half Marathon (virtual or in-person) AND if you completed the 2023 Long Beach Marathon or Half Marathon (virtual or in-person)
Beach Bum Status in the 2024 race earns you:
- One Additional complimentary beer in the Beer Garden after your Sunday race
- Exclusive 2024 Beach Bum long-sleeved shirt
- Access to Beach Bum Lounge in the Beer Garden on Friday and Saturday
- Access to the Beach Bum Lounge area in the Beer Garden on Sunday
- Members who are participating in their 10th consecutive Long Beach Marathon or Half Marathon will earn their official 10 Year Beach Bum medal
- All members who are participating in their 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, or 16th consecutive Long Beach Marathon or Half Marathon will be earn their exclusive yearly pin to continue to add to their 10 Year medal
Program Rules
- Beach Bum status will be granted to those participants once they have completed the Long Beach Marathon or Half Marathon for three (3) consecutive years. The Bike Tour and Aquarium of the Pacific 5K distances do not count towards Beach Bum Status.
- Beach Bum status can be attained with completion of any combination of the Marathon or Half Marathon distances.
- Virtual race participation in the Marathon or Half Marathon will count toward Beach Bum status.
- Participants had the option to skip the 2020 virtual race and still retain their Beach Bum loyalty status
- Please note that race results prior to 2009 WILL NOT be counted towards this program
- Please note that Beach Bums must personally pick up their own gift at the Race Expo or at the Finish Festival. Items will not be mailed to members after the race. Those participating in the virtual race will have their gifts mailed to them in their finisher packet.
